Dungeon Night Dreams Pretty Cure Interest Check/Signups
Welcome to Tableau Town, birthplace of the world-famous tabletop role-playing game, Prettyholic Caverns! People love TTRPG's here, game shops are numerous, and pretty much everyone is in at least one campaign.
Our group of plucky young teens is no exception, but their campaign is suddenly interrupted by the arrival of a dragon fairy from Dungeon Land, entreating their aid. Dungeon Land was once under the rule of the wise and benevolent Dungeon Master, and its diverse peoples would come together to perform stirring tales of adventure and drama.
The wicked Toxicard had his own ideas about how these stories should go (specifically that he should always win), and he has overthrown the Dungeon Master, turning Dungeon Land into a wicked place where only the cruel and selfish prosper. Toxicard has now turned his gaze towards Earth, seeking its people to serve as a source of new performers and story ideas, and only the legendary storytellers, Pretty Cure, can put a stop to him and restore Dungeon Land to its rightful master.
Dungeon Night Dreams Pretty Cure is a D&D and Pretty Cure-inspired game planned to be run in Valor Alter because I am baby GM. If you are interested, please fill out the following form:
Name: gimme your pronouns here, too, please
Availability: I'm hoping to get this rolling in August
Favorite Precure series: Feel free to elaborate on why
Character pitch: I strongly recommend picking both a class and race from D&D to incorporate into your Cure theme. Also, I'm going with a North American setting instead of Japan.
Any advice for a newbie GM: pls

Availability: well first of all gestures to unpredictable of schedule but I should be free Thursday and Saturday evenings. (Technically Monday but Curse Eater is slated for Monday)
Favorite Precure series: how can I possibly pick a favorite... Tropical for the energy, it is a refresher series after some real rough real world times and it knocks it right outta the park.
Character pitch: I want to be a misguided evil minion. Tiefling Warlock or Blackguard.
Or I'll do the Yellow One (dwarven paladin) and be a girl who is really into custom miniatures.
Any advice for a newbie GM: if there are too many npcs in a scene for you to improv dialogue for them all you can handwave what they are saying in general, this ain't a professional gig

Availability:
Saturday afternoons (ending before 7 ET),
Sunday afternoons (ending before 6 ET),
Monday evenings if you wait for One Piece Galaxy to end (we're hitting level 17) (between 5 and 11 ET is fine),
late Fridays (after 11PM ET) to avoid hitting Kingdom Valor, or else alternating since KV is biweekly
Favorite Precure series: Dokidoki. It has Regina. 'nuff said.
Character pitch: Trans magic girl because real magic girl series still haven't done it. Starting off presenting as a boy, but who keeps making girl characters for her tabletop campaigns for some reason.
Maybe she starts off as a "boy" helper, a la Sailor Moon's Tuxedo Mask or Delicious Party Precure's Black Pepper? Or just on the sideline like Satoru until she becomes a Cure and cracks her egg,
Not picky on on class/race combo (I'll fill in whatever's needed) but if pressed, maybe a Tiefling Sorcerer or Rogue? Or bard.
Any advice for a newbie GM:
1. Have the plot outlined and refer to the plot outline often
2. Don't drop too many hints too early though - have a plan of generally when you want the party to learn key facts so they don't figure out the plot on day one and also so you have more reveals to give them later on
3. Other than that, don't try to plan minutiae. As long as keep the campaign running in the right direction (following the outline) things'll work out.
4. DO make sure you figure out how to tie in any character plots before starting the game, though. If you don't have any ideas how, work it out with the player. (Even if they hand you a blank check, if you can't figure out how to cash that blank check, it's better to talk with them and figure out something good rather than leaving it uncashed.)
5. Get a BUNCH of possible PBs early on so if you have to make a character on the fly, you can just pull from a bunch of PBs you already have ready.
6. Plotting cliques help

Availability: Available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday evenings. And most afternoons, though Sunday is off the table there I guess at least through September.
Favorite Precure series: Princess Precure is a very strong season with a lot of very positive features and I really feel set a gold standard for the series.
Character pitch: Blue cure, elven bladesinger, devoted theater kid who is deep in that roleplay sauce but resents the roll play and maths detracting from her descriptions (she probably has dyscalcula). Is an aspiring triple threat on stage-acting, singing and dancing.
Alternatively, track and field girl who is laid up with an injury picking up the hobby as a red precure/human Barbarian. Head empty, no plan.
Any advice for a newbie GM: Uhhh, plans are useless, planning is essential? But also this is a collaborative effort, and we're here to have fun, so you shouldn't have too much trouble herding your ducks into a row. The occasional side trip to a pond notwithstanding.

Availability: I should be free on every other Saturday, or every Saturday afternoon, Fridays all day, and every other Monday.
Favorite Precure series: I haven't gotten around to watching yet, but intend to start soon. I just need to find a starting point...
Character pitch: An anxious she/they student who works part time at a family owned restaurant while pulling straight A's in school, and manages to get her relaxation in through playing D&D. PRefers to play a low int monk of some variety, like a goblin or a kenku.
Any advice for a newbie GM: Never plan details and always be flexible. Players have a way of getting out of planned content, after all. Be ready to call things early if you need to plan or fly by the seat of your pants if you feel you can.

Availability: wednesday and thursday evenings; every other monday and tuesday evening (6/25 is a free tuesday and 7/1 is a free monday, for calculation purposes). 7ish start is ideal with the assumption that i'll have a full time job by then lmao
Favorite Precure series: i've never seen a precure i'm sorry
Character pitch: i will return with a character concept later
Any advice for a newbie GM: players love to talk themselves in circles for hours about stupid plans and a dumb thing they decided was suspicious even though it's not, and sitting there silently is a great way to just fill out a session
i'm filling this out w the assumption that this is a voiced game and not a text one bc we talked about that once
